Connect Claude to the Wavos MCP server
- Create a Wavos account and connect the Instagram account you want to publish to.
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add a custom connector using the server URL above.
- Sign in to Wavos and approve access through OAuth. No API key needs to be copied into the chat.
- For generated image uploads, open Claude Settings → Capabilities → Domain whitelist and add
wavos-render-production.s3.amazonaws.com.
Connector availability and settings vary by assistant and plan. Other clients must support MCP over HTTP and OAuth.

schedule_post publishes now or at a specified datetime for a connected Instagram username.
Start image uploads
begin_image_uploads starts uploads for one to six PNG, JPEG, or WebP images, up to 5MB each.
Complete image uploads
complete_image_uploads finalizes uploaded images so they can be used in a post.
Use an image fallback
upload_images provides the documented fallback for small images.

What is an Instagram MCP server?
An MCP server exposes tools an AI assistant can call. Wavos provides authenticated tools to upload images and publish or schedule posts to your connected Instagram account. It does not replace Instagram permissions or platform rules.
Do I need an API key to connect Claude?
No. Add https://app.backend.wavos.ai/api/mcp as a connector, sign in to Wavos, and approve access through OAuth. For generated image uploads, also add the documented render-bucket domain to Claude’s domain whitelist.
Can the MCP tools create Instagram DM automations?
No. The documented tools handle publishing and image uploads. Set up keyword-triggered comment-to-DM and reply rules separately in Wavos.
Does Wavos MCP publish to LinkedIn too?
The documented MCP publishing workflow covers Instagram. LinkedIn scheduling is available in the Wavos app; do not assume it is supported by these MCP tools.
