1. Introduction

Wavos.ai ("Wavos," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered social media automation tools that help creators and businesses generate content, schedule posts, and automate engagement on connected platforms such as Instagram. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Connected platform data: information from Instagram and other platforms you authorize us to access, including posts, comments, and direct messages needed to power automations.
  • Content you create: carousels, captions, images, and other assets generated or uploaded through Wavos.
  • Usage data: log data, device information, and analytics about how you interact with our product.
  • Payment information: billing details processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

3. How We Use Information

  • To authenticate you and create or maintain your Wavos account.
  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Wavos platform.
  • To generate content, schedule posts, and automate DM/comment replies on your behalf and with your authorization.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
  • To improve our product, including through aggregated and anonymized analytics.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Google Sign-In and Google User Data

Information Accessed from Google

Wavos uses Google Sign-In as the sole authentication method. When you sign in with your Google account, we request only the minimum permissions required to identify you and create your account:

  • Your Google account identifier (unique user ID)
  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your Google profile picture URL

These permissions are displayed on Google's authorization screen before you sign in. Wavos does not receive or store your Google password. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, YouTube, or any other Google service beyond the basic profile information listed above.

How We Use Google User Data

We use information received from Google solely to:

  • Authenticate you and securely sign you in to Wavos.
  • Create and identify your Wavos account.
  • Display your name and profile picture within the Wavos interface.
  • Send account-related communications to your email address.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, profiling, or to train or improve any general artificial intelligence or machine-learning model.

Storage and Security

We store your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture URL for as long as your Wavos account remains active. OAuth tokens issued by Google are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not store any Google Workspace content (emails, files, calendar data, etc.) because we do not request access to those services.

Revoking Google Access and Deleting Your Data

You may revoke Wavos's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account security settings.

To delete your Wavos account and all associated data, use our self-serve account deletion page. Upon receiving your request, we delete your Google profile data from our active systems within 30 days, unless retention is required by law. Encrypted backup copies are purged within 90 days.

You may also contact us directly at privacy@wavos.ai to request deletion.

Google Limited Use Compliance

Wavos's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Instagram & Third-Party Platforms

Wavos integrates with Instagram's official API and other supported platforms. When you connect an account, you authorize Wavos to access certain data (such as posts, comments, and messages) solely to deliver the automation features you enable. We do not sell this data, and our use of information received from Meta/Instagram APIs adheres to their respective platform policies and terms.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers who help us operate Wavos (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing) under contractual obligations to protect your data. These providers are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes, including to train or improve any artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wavos, our users, or others.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Google profile information (name, email, profile picture) is retained while your Wavos account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@wavos.ai.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption of OAuth tokens in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Wavos is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above or through other appropriate means.
